Argentina Interested In Joint Documentary Projects With Russia - Media Minister

BUENOS AIRES (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 30th November, 2018) Argentina is interested in developing joint documentary projects with Russia and is already discussing them with the RT broadcaster, Minister of the Federal System of Media and Public Content Hernan Lombardi told Sputnik.

"We are very interested in projects related to documentaries: the gastronomy of Russia and Argentina, as well as in projects about the culture of the two countries, especially in projects related to literature," Lombardi said on Thursday. "We, Argentinians, love Russian literature, and, in turn, in Russia Argentinian writer [Jorge Luis] Borges is very famous."

Lombardi noted that Argentina is already discussing new projects in Russia.

"We have discussed with Victoria Vorontsova, she is the director of RT in Spanish for new co-productions among Argentinians and Russians," he shared.

"We have already done joint documentary projects with RT. I think we can do a lot together for Argentine tv."

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Argentine President Mauricio Macri will exchange documents on the renewal of the agreement between the RT broadcaster and Argentina's Open Digital Television system Lombardi, who is also a G20 coordinator, said.

Russian Ambassador to Argentina Dmitry Feoktistov told reporters earlier this week that the RT broadcaster signed an agreement with Argentina on prolongation of the broadcasting license until October 2022.
