Argentine sets up AmaZulu for South African League Cup win

Johannesburg, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Oct, 2018 ) :Argentine Emiliano Tade scored the goal that set up Durban club AmaZulu for a 2-0 South African League Cup round-of-16 home victory over Cape Town City Tuesday.

Tade struck on 63 minutes at King Zwelithini Stadium in the Indian Ocean port city and Bongi Ntuli added an opportunist second goal just three minutes later.

AmaZulu were rewarded with a home quarter-final against crowd-pullers Orlando Pirates over the weekend of November 3/4 when the draw was made after the final whistle.

"It was a match of contrasting halves for us," said AmaZulu coach Cavin Johnson. "We were poor in the first half and much better after a few strong words during the break."Cape Town coach Benni McCarthy, who scored a record 31 goals for South Africa, once again lamented poor finishing by his team.

"There is going to be a heart-to-heart talk between the boys and I soon. Something has to change. No one is prepared to take the responsibility of scoring."
