Around 640 People Hospitalized After Chemical Plant Blast in China - Authorities

BEIJING (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 22nd March, 2019) Around 640 people have been hospitalized with various injuries after a powerful explosion hit a chemical plant in the city of Yancheng, located in China's eastern Jiangsu province, the provincial authorities said in a statement, shared with Sputnik on Friday.

"At the moment, 3,500 medical workers and 90 ambulance cars are involved in providing assistance. Around 640 people have been transported to 16 hospitals," the document read.
