At Least 2 Miners Killed, 15 Missing Over Accident in Luhansk People's Republic - Official

LUHANSK (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 26th April, 2019) At least two people were killed and 15 others are missing after an accident at a coal mine in the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR), Emergencies Minister Evgeniy Katsavalov said on Friday.

"The situation at the mine is critical.

At the moment, there are two deceased and 15 missing people," Katsavalov told reporters.

The accident occurred at the Skhidkarbon mine in the settlement of Yurivka in the LPR, located in Ukraine's eastern Donbas region, on Wednesday.

The press service of Leonid Pasechnik, the leader of the LPR, said in the early hours of Friday that he had left for the accident site.
