At Least 40 Servicemen Detained For Uprising Attempt In Venezuela - Reports

A total of 40 servicemen were detained on Monday for attempting to take part in an uprising in Venezuela, the Vivoplay portal reported
The detainees were taken to courts in Caracas. Eyewitnesses said shots had been heard from the guards during transportation of the detainees.
Earlier in the day, the Nacional portal reported that a group of servicemen had captured the headquarters of one of the National Guard units in western Caracas. A video appeared on social networks showing a rebel speaking out against the government of President Nicolas Maduro. The command of the Venezuelan Armed Forces later reported that the rebel fighters of the National Guard had been arrested and were giving testimony to the security services.
