RAMALLAH (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 20th April, 2019) At least 46 Palestinians were injured on Friday as a result of clashes with Israeli troops on the Gaza Strip border, the Palestinian Gaza Health Ministry told Sputnik.
"Forty-six people received injuries; five of those are ambulance workers and four are journalists. A child also received an injury as a result of a gas bomb and he is in critical condition.
Dozens of people suffered from tear gas suffocation," the ministry said.
The Gaza border area has been a scene of violent clashes between Palestinians and the Israeli military since last March, when the Palestinians launched their anti-Israeli campaign, dubbed the Great March of Return. Since then, each week on Friday, thousands of Palestinians gather at the border of the Gaza Strip and the tensions often escalate into clashes with Israeli troops.
