TEL AVIV (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 10th December, 2018) As many as six people were wounded after unidentified men opened fire at a group of Israelis from a vehicle with Palestinian plates in the West Bank, medics and servicemen said in a statement.
"The shooting [was carried out] at a group of people standing near the entrance to the settlement of Ofra. The Magen David Adom [rescue service's] staff together with military doctors are assisting and evacuating six victims," the statement released on Sunday evening said.
According to the statement, the Israeli servicemen returned fire at the attackers's car and are currently searching for the perpetrators.
For decades, Palestine has been in conflict with the Israeli government that refuses to recognize it as an independent political and diplomatic state on the territories of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. The conflict has been accompanied by frequent clashes between the two sides in the West bank and in the Gaza Strip.
