At least eight workers were killed and another two were injured after a gold mine collapsed in Afghanistan's northeastern province of Badakhshan on Thursday, the Afghan TOLOnews broadcaster reported, citing local officials

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 17th January, 2019) At least eight workers were killed and another two were injured after a gold mine collapsed in Afghanistan's northeastern province of Badakhshan on Thursday, the Afghan TOLOnews broadcaster reported, citing local officials.

The tragic incident took place in the Raghistan district, according to the district's governor, Ghulamullah Sayed.

There was no immediate information on the condition of those wounded.
