Austria Sends Divers To Help Look For Missing Boat Passengers In Budapest

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 31st May, 2019) Austria sent divers to Hungary on Thursday to help comb the Danube River for South Korean tourists who went missing overnight after a sightseeing boat capsized in Budapest.
"Ten divers from the special operations tactical unit Cobra are helping Hungarian special operations forces to respond to the boat accident in Budapest," the Austrian Interior Ministry said.
A boat carrying 30 South Korean tourists, three guides and two Hungarian crew sank after colliding with another boat.
At least seven tourists died and 21 others are missing.
"It is important that in such tragic circumstances we offer our neighbors special operations forces and the most modern technology," Austrian Interior Minister Eckart Ratz said.
Austria is considering sending more divers, his ministry added. The rescue operation continued through the night and into late Thursday. South Korea has sent rescuers to Budapest to assist in the effort.
