VIENNA (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 14th March, 2019) Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen said Thursday that he had discussed Russia-EU relations, as well as the situation in Ukraine and Venezuela at a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov earlier in the day.

"Good discussion with Sergej #Lavrov @mfa_russia today about the relations between the EU & #Russia and the situation in #Ukraine. On this occasion I pleaded for a prisoner exchange including Oleh #Senzow. The current situation in #Venezuela was also a topic of today's meeting with Russia's Foreign Minister," he wrote on Twitter.
