Belarusian Foreign Minister Dismisses Ex-NATO Chief's Warning Of Russian Aggression

The Belarusian foreign minister on Thursday dismissed claims by NATO's former chief Anders Fogh Rasmussen that Russia was preparing to annex its ally as "delusional rambling
"How can I comment on the rambling by some former official who has long been out of work and is out of touch with reality," Vladimir Makei told reporters in response to their queries.
Rasmussen made the controversial allegation in an interview on Wednesday with a Ukrainian news website, LIGA.net, timed to the anniversary of the 2014 power change in Kiev.
He claimed Belarus faced annexation by Russia if it did not conduct reforms leading to freedom and democracy, and said he wanted Minsk to get help from the West.
