LILLE, France, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th August, 2016) - Rescue workers resumed searching Tuesday for a 13-year-old British boy the day after he went missing in the Channel off the northern coast of France. The boy was swimming with two other children off a beach at Boulogne-sur-Mer on Monday afternoon at the base of a lighthouse when the three were taken by surprise by strong currents, rescue workers said.
The two other children managed to swim to safety and raise the alarm. Rescue workers searched for three hours on Monday, using a helicopter, divers, two rubber dinghies and a speedboat and resumed searches Tuesday. The parents of the missing boy and the two others were treated in hospital for shock. Officials did not identify the boy or say where he came from in Britain.
