Radzhab Abdulatipov, the brother of the former leader of Russia's North Caucasus republic of Dagestan, was detained for involvement in a criminal organization, the Russian Investigative Committee said on Wednesday.
MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 26th September, 2018) Radzhab Abdulatipov, the brother of the former leader of Russia's North Caucasus republic of Dagestan, was detained for involvement in a criminal organization, the Russian Investigative Committee said on Wednesday.
"Member of Dagestan People's Assembly Radzhab Abdulatipov was detained for participation in a criminal organization.
He will be charged soon under Article 210 of the Russian Criminal Code [participation in a criminal organization]. Its members were forging disability documents in exchange for bribes," the committee's statement, published on its WhatsApp messenger account, read.
Magomed Makhachev, the head of the Dagestan bureau of medical and social expertise, and his employees were detained earlier as part of this criminal case, the statement noted.
Ramazan Abdulatipov was the leader of Dagestan from January 2013 to October 2017.
