BEIJING (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 14th May, 2019) Beijing is determined to win the trade war with the United States though it does not want the economic conflict to grow in intensity, China's Foreign Ministry spokesman said Tuesday after the two countries again exchanged tariffs on each other's imports.
"China does not want a trade war but we are not afraid of it. If someone brings the war to us we will fight it until we win," Geng Shuang told reporters at a daily briefing.
The United States more than doubled import duties on $200 billion of Chinese goods last week, the latest such move since last summer. China said on Monday it would retaliate by hiking tariffs on $60 billion of US imports starting in June.
