China Welcomes Consensus Between Laos, Cambodia On Border Issue

China welcomed the consensus reached between Laos and Cambodia on the border issue, a Foreign Ministry spokesperson said Monday.
BEIJING, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Sep, 2018 ) :China welcomed the consensus reached between Laos and Cambodia on the border issue, a Foreign Ministry spokesperson said Monday.
According to reports, Laos and Cambodia have reached an important consensus on resolving border tensions, including drawing all troops and residents from the disputed areas and holding joint patrols.
Laos has already withdrawn its troops.
"As a common neighbor and friend of Laos and Cambodia, China always supports the two countries in resolving disputes through dialogue and negotiation based on peace and friendly spirits," spokesperson Geng Shuang said at a daily news briefing, adding that China is happy to see they reached a consensus on relevant issues recently.
