Chinese FM to hold meetings with leaders attending SCO Heads of Government Council meeting

Chinese Premier Li Keqiang will hold bilateral meetings with the head of delegations attending the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Heads of Government Council meeting scheduled to be held in Tajikistan's capital Dushanbe on October 11-12.

BEIJING, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Oct, 2018 ) :Chinese Premier Li Keqiang will hold bilateral meetings with the head of delegations attending the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Heads of Government Council meeting scheduled to be held in Tajikistan's capital Dushanbe on October 11-12.

"The Chinese premier will also exchange views with the leaders attending SCO meeting on deepening of mutual cooperation and advancing cooperation in economy, trade, production capacity, connectivity and people to people exchanges," Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs briefed the media on Tuesday at a press conference.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi will lead the Pakistani delegation at the meeting.

The agenda of the meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of Government includes the development of trade, economic and humanitarian cooperation within the organisation.

The heads of delegations will discuss the implementation on the "Programme of Multilateral Trade and Economic Cooperation" and the work of the business council and the SCO interbank association.

The heads of government will make a number of decisions on various aspects of the SCO, including the approval of its budget for 2019 and the adoption of a joint communique.

This will be followed by an expanded meeting of SCO Council of Heads of Government, attended by delegations from observer states and SCO dialogue partners.

The SCO is an intergovernmental international organization comprising China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, India and Pakistan as full members, and Afghanistan, Belarus, Iran and Mongolia as observers.
