BULAWAYO, Zimbabwe, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th August, 2016) - Opening batsman Tom Latham scored his second consecutive century in Zimbabwe as New Zealand stamped their authority on the second Test at Queens sports Club on Saturday.
Latham followed up his hundred in New Zealand's crushing win in the first Test with 136 in the second, which allowed the tourists to close the first day on 329 for two after they had won the toss and elected to bat. The left-hander enjoyed an opening stand of 169 with Martin Guptill, who made 87, and then added 160 for the second wicket with Kane Williamson. Williamson was left unbeaten on 95 when Latham was caught and bowled by left-arm spinner Sean Williams off what proved to be the final ball of the day.
