BUENOS AIRES (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 20th January, 2019) At least 22 people died and 37 others were injured Saturday in a collision between two buses in southwestern Bolivia, national police chief Romulo Delgado told reporters.
"Unfortunately, we can report 22 people killed and 37 injured.
They were transferred to hospitals in Challapata and in the city of Oruro," Delgado was quoted as saying by the ABI state news agency.
The head-on crash badly damaged both vehicles. The previous death tally stood at 12. The police chief said investigators were looking at an unsuccessful "overtaking maneuver" as a probable cause.
