Death Toll In Christchurch Shootings Climbs To 49, One Man Charged With Murder - Police

A total of 49 people were killed and 39 more injured in the mass shootings in Christchurch, New Zealand Police Commissioner Mike Bush said Friday

"One person a male in his late 20s has been charged with murder and should appear in the Christchurch Court tomorrow morning. Three other people were apprehended... one had nothing to do with this incident... two are still under investigation...," the officer also said at a briefing aired by the New Zealand Herald.
The police are not currently looking for other suspects, the commissioner added.
