Death Toll In Genoa Bridge Collapse Stays At 22 With 16 Injured - Italian Prime Minister

The death toll in a motorway bridge collapse in the northern Italian city of Genoa on Tuesday stands at 22 people with another 16 injured, Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte said.
ROME (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 15th August, 2018) The death toll in a motorway bridge collapse in the northern Italian city of Genoa on Tuesday stands at 22 people with another 16 injured, Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte said.
"According to the latest data, 22 people were killed, 16 injured, nine of them are in serious condition," Conte said while visiting the site of the tragedy.
Local media earlier reported that as many as 35 people died when a large section of the bridge collapsed at about 11 a.m. local time (09:00 GMT) on the warehouses and railway tracks beneath.
