The number of people who have been killed as a result of the terrorist attack on a military parade in the southwestern Iranian city of Ahvaz has increased to 24 people, local media reported on Saturday, citing sources.

Civilians, including women and children, who were watching the military parade, are among those killed, according to the IRNA news agency, citing a source familiar with situation.
At least 53 people were injured in the attack, with some of them being in critical condition, the agency's source added.
Earlier in the day, armed militants opened fire at the parade. The two attackers were reportedly killed by the security forces, with two others arrested. According to the IRNA news agency, the Patriotic Arab Democratic Movement in Ahwaz with links to Saudi Arabia has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif has blamed the attack on "regional terror sponsors and their US masters."
