MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 15th February, 2019) India has shown great interest in Russia's Su-57 fifth-generation fighter, state corporation Rostec director for international cooperation Viktor Kladov said in an interview with Sputnik.

"There is certainly serious interest.

However, how much does such an aircraft fit into the overall concept of the combat use of the Indian Air Force, what to rely on and spend money - on purchasing several new-generation machines, or on a substantial increase in the number of Su-30MKI, well known to Indian pilots, which are produced under the Russian license in India?" Kladov said.

"For our part, we are ready both for the continuation of deliveries of aircraft of the 4+ and 4++ generations, and for work on the fifth-generation program," he said.
