WARSAW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 08th September, 2018) Dr. Lukasz Adamski, deputy director of the Centre for Polish-Russian Dialogue and Understanding, said on Saturday that he had been denied access to the Russian territory.
"According to the [Russian] Federal Security Service, I became a threat to the defensive power, the national security or the public order of the Russian Federation. This is exactly what the document, that I received today at the checkpoint of the Polish-Russian border, located near Gusev [Kaliningrad region] from the Russian border guards, read," Adamski posted on Facebook.
According to Adamski, he was going to Svetlogorsk, a resort city located in the Kaliningrad region, in order to take part in the opening ceremony of the Polish-Russian football tournament for children together with the region's authorities.
"I am denied access to the Russian Federation until '00 March 2021,'" the post read.
The Centre for Polish-Russian Dialogue and Understanding, established in 2011, aims at enhancing cooperation between the two countries, most importantly, in the academic and the educational spheres. Russian Prime Minister initiated the creation of two dialogue centers in Poland and in Russia in December 2010.
