Destructive Hurricane Willa Edges Onto Mexico Pacific Shore - Authorities

MEXICO CITY (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 24th October, 2018) The leading edge of Hurricane Willa moved onto the shore on Tuesday evening in the central western Mexican state of Sinaloa, authorities said.

The National Water Commission said the powerful Category 3 storm was packing winds of 195 kilometers per hour (121 mph).

The eye of the storm is only 20 kilometers (12 miles) away from the Pacific coastline and 80 kilometers (50 miles) from a major resort city of Mazatlan. It is expected to make landfall soon.
