Dozens of Palestinians, including school students, suffocated due to inhaling gas fired at them in clashes with Israeli forces early Tuesday south of Hebron.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said in a statement that clashes broke out between Palestinian youths and Israeli occupation forces near Tariq ibn Ziyad school, located in the Israeli-controlled area of Hebron cityI, protesting the execution of Wa'el al-Jabari on Monday.

"The Israeli soldiers fired rubber-coated steel bullets, sound bombs and poisonous gas at the Palestinian youths including students and teachers of Hebron elementary school for boys, the PRCS added.

The attacked Palestinians were treated at the scene, it said.

Meanwhile, Palestinian official in charge of the Jordan Valley's Israeli settlement file in Tubas, Moataz Bisharat, said in a statement that Israeli forces dismantled a caravan of a Palestinian citizenin Kirbit Hemse al-Tahta in the Northern Valley.

"The caravan was confiscated under the pretext it lacks a license" he said, adding that Israeli authorities notified the owner of the caravan prior to the dismantling.
