Duma Passes Bill To Limit Foreign Ownership In Russian News Aggregators In 1st Reading

Russia's lower house of parliament, the State Duma, adopted in the first reading a draft law to limit foreign ownership in the capital of news aggregators in the country.
According to the draft's authors, the limitations are proposed to "prevent the threat to public order in Russia and thereby create favorable conditions for the development of civil society."
