Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Tuesday that the Vienna Convention on Consular Relation would most likely be laid on the table in the light of the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi in Istanbul.
MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 23rd October, 2018) Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Tuesday that the Vienna Convention on Consular Relation would most likely be laid on the table in the light of the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi in Istanbul.
"Of course, because they have diplomatic immunity, as per the Vienna Convention which is a matter of discussion now, [no action was taken against Saudi diplomatic staff]. Mogherini has made some statements pertaining to this recently. The Vienna Convention will most likely be laid on the table," Erdogan told the parliament, as aired by the TRT broadcaster.
