EU Parliament President Calls Sri Lanka Attacks Genocide Against Christians

BRUSSELS (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 21st April, 2019) European Parliament President Antonio Tajani has described Sunday's deadly attacks in Sri Lanka "a real genocide perpetrated against Christians."�

"Even on Easter Sunday, there are those who sow hatred and reap death.

The attacks in #SriLanka churches testify to a real genocide perpetrated against Christians. Let us pray for the innocent victims and work towards religious freedom around the world," Tajani said on hist Twitter.

According to the latest media reports, a series of blasts that hit several churches and hotels across Sri Lanka left at least 207 people killed and more than 450 others injured.
