The European Parliament on Wednesday has overwhelmingly supported triggering Article 7 of the Treaty on European Union against Hungary over violating the EU values
MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 12th September, 2018) The European Parliament on Wednesday has overwhelmingly supported triggering Article 7 of the Treaty on European Union against Hungary over violating the EU values.
The motion was approved with 448 votes in favor, 197 against and 48 abstentions.
The procedure could result in Hungary being deprived of its voting rights in the Council of the European Union.
