EU Transfers 2nd Tranche Of Aid Worth $17.7Mln For Ukraine's Public Administration Reform

The European Union decided to transfer a second tranche worth 15.5 million euros ($17.66 million) to Ukraine within the aid program for the country's public administration reform (PAR), the EU Delegation to Ukraine said on Tuesday.
KIEV (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 14th August, 2018) The European Union decided to transfer a second tranche worth 15.5 million Euros ($17.66 million) to Ukraine within the aid program for the country's public administration reform (PAR), the EU Delegation to Ukraine said on Tuesday.
"Following the assessment of Ukraines 2017 progress report on PAR, the EU decided to disburse further 15.
5 million of budget support," the delegation said in a statement.
This tranche follows the previous allocation of 10 million euros made available in May last year, EU delegation noted.
In late 2016, the European Union approved a special assistance program to Ukraine worth 104 million euros, which provides 90 million euros for budget support and 14 million euros for technical assistance used to provide advisory services to government bodies involved in public administration reform.
