Finland's Opposition Social Democratic Party Leading In Pre-Election Poll

Over 20 percent of Finnish nationals are ready to support the opposition Social Democratic Party (SDP) at the upcoming parliamentary election, a fresh poll revealed on Thursday
According to Yle's latest political barometer, the party is still on the top of political landscape in Finland ahead of the election, though it saw voter approval decrease by 1.1 percentage points, compared to previous poll.
At least 17.3 percent of respondents said they would back the conservative National Coalition Party (NCP) if the elections were held today, down 2.3 percentage points from the last poll.
Prime Minister Juha Sipila's Centre Party is at the third position with 15.
6 percent voter approval that fell to its lowest level in six years, the poll said.
At least 14.6 percent of respondents would vote for the opposition Greens (increase by 1 percent), the immigration-sceptic Finns Party would receive 12 percent of votes, while the approval rating of the Left Alliance decreased by 0.9 percent and amounted to 8.6 percent, according to the poll. Other parties would receive less than five percent.
The poll was conducted from January 14 to February 5 among 2,928 respondents.
The Finnish parliamentary elections are scheduled for April 14.
