Finnish National Ice Hockey Team Wins 2019 Worlds Gold, Beating Canada 3-1 in Finals

BRATISLAVA (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 27th May, 2019) The Finnish national ice hockey team won the 2019 IIHF World Championship in Slovakia, defeating the Canadian team in the final match on Sunday.

The game in Bratislava ended with the score of 3-1 (0-1, 1-0, 2-0).

Finland won the third gold at the world hockey championships. Previous wins were in 1995 and 2011.

Earlier in the day, Russia defeated Сzech Republic in the third place game.
