Fire In Sudanese Presidential Palace Tackled - Reports

CAIRO (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 24th March, 2019) The Sudanese presidential administration's civil defense forces have tackled the fire that the hit on Saturday the presidential palace in the country's capital of Khartoum, local media reported.
The fire hit only several cabinets of the palace, the SUNA news agency reported, citing a senior official of the presidential administration.
The fire erupted earlier in the day in the�historic part of the building near the Nile.
Sudanese President Omar Bashir and his administration are working in a new residence located several hundreds meters from the historic building and, therefore, were not affected by the incident.
There are no reports about any people hurt by the fire.
