Freedom Party Of Austria Wants To Join Newly-Created EAPN Alliance - Secretary General

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 09th April, 2019) The Freedom Party of Austria wants to join the newly-created European Alliance of People and Nations (EAPN), the party's secretary general Harald Vilimsky said Tuesday.

Italy's Deputy Prime Minister and leader of Lega party Matteo Salvini announced the establishment of the alliance on Monday.

It has already brought together Italy's Lega, the Danish People's Party, the Finns Party and the Alternative for Germany.

"Of course, the EU Parliament members of the FPO will also be glad to join the reform alliance presented in Milan by [Salvini] after the election," Vilimsky said on Twitter.

Salvini and AfD's Joerg Meuthen have welcomed Vilimsky's announcement on Twitter.

The European Parliament elections are scheduled for May 23-26.
