MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 20th September, 2018) Germany's Economy Minister Peter Altmeier has approved arms sales to Saudi Arabia after the ruling coalition agreed to end deliveries to countries involved in the Yemen war, local media said.
The list, seen by the Spiegel online magazine, features artillery positioning systems for armored vehicles, as well as millions worth of arms exports to the United Arab Emirates and Jordan.
The three nations are parties to the three-year-old war which has claimed thousands of lives. Saudi Arabia has been launching airstrikes on Houthi rebels at the request of the internationally-recognized Yemeni government since March 2015.
