Global Community Welcomes Russian Move To Send Troops To UN Mission In CAR - Moscow

ST. PETERSBURG (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 06th June, 2019) The global community has welcomed Russian decision to send troops to the UN Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (CAR), Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov said on Thursday on the sidelines of St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
"I believe everyone has only welcomed this.
Obviously, this is our contribution to the common UN cause, so I think there will be no problem with this. This is an important move," Bogdanov told reporters.
He stressed that Russia was delivering small arms to the car in full compliance with international law and UN decisions.
SPIEF began on Thursday and will last through Saturday. Rossiya Segodnya International Information Agency is an official media partner of the forum.
