Group Of Russian Northern Fleet Warships Visits Algerian Port - Spokesman

MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 15th August, 2018) A group of Russia's Northern Fleet warships has made a working call at a port in Algeria, the Russian Northern Fleet's spokesman, Capt. 1st Rank Vadim Serga, said Wednesday.
"A group of Northern Fleet warships including Marshal Ustinov missile cruiser and Severomorsk anti-submarine ship made a working call in Algeria as part of a long-haul cruise," Serga told reporters.
The program of the working call includes a number of protocol events with the participation of Northern Fleet Commander Vice Adm. Nikolai Evmenov, who arrived in Algeria on Tuesday, and the employees of the Russian embassy in the African country.
According to Serga, Evmenov is also expected to hold a meeting with Algerian National Navy Commander Maj. Gen. Mohamed Larbi Haouli. The call will last through Sunday.
