HC Dhaka Assures Security Of Pakistani Students

DHAKA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Aug, 2024) Pakistan High Commission, Dhaka was keeping a close eye on the changing situation in Bangladesh and was taking all possible steps for ensuring security of Pakistani students.
In a statement Pakistan's High Commissioner Syed Ahmed Maroof said security of Pakistani citizens was top most priority and the High Commission was continuously in contact with the citizens particularly Pakistani students who were studying in the country.
The officials of High Commission were also in touch with the Bangladeshi authorities and were keeping the students informed about the situation.
He said as the situation worsened, the male and female students were asked to immediately reach the High Commission and those who could not come were in contact on telephone.
He said Pakistani students were asked to keep themselves confined to their rooms and stay away from the present situation.
Out of the 144 students studying in Bangladesh one third had already left for Pakistan while few more students were leaving for Pakistan in a day or two.
Those students who were left behind in Bangladesh had reached the High Commission.
