Heavy Snow Disrupts Air Traffic In NE China Airport

SHENYANG, Dec. 8 (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 08th Dec, 2016 ) : Heavy snowfall has disrupted air traffic in Shenyang City, capital of northeast China's Liaoning Province, local authorities said Thursday.
The snowstorm started Thursday morning and continued until the afternoon. The snow piled up to 9.
6 millimeters high after over 10 hours of snowing. As of 5:30 p.m., 98 flights to or from Shenyang Taoxian International Airport had been delayed, leaving more than 1,000 passengers stranded, airport sources said.
The airport was closed from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., the sources said. Eighteen snow removal trucks and nearly 100 personnel have been sent to clean the ice and snow from the ground.
