One person was injured in hostilities in the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) in eastern Ukraine over the past week, a spokesperson for the DPR ombudsman's office told reporters on Friday.
"Between November 30 and December 6, 2018 one female civilian was injured on the territory of Donetsk People's Republic due to armed aggression coming from the Ukrainian side," the spokesperson said.
According to the ombudsman's office, since the beginning of this year 154 people were killed, while 305 others were injured due to hostilities in the self-proclaimed republic.
In total, 4,721 people were killed in the region since the beginning of the conflict, including 81 children.
In April 2014, the Ukrainian authorities launched a military operation against self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk people's republics, who did not recognize the new government established in Ukraine after what they considered to be a state coup. According to the United Nations statistics, more than 10,000 people were killed during the conflict.
