Hungary is Russia's important and reliable partner in Europe, Moscow is interested in boosting cooperation, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Tuesday after a meeting with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

"I would like to stress that Hungary is an important and reliable partner of Russia in Europe. We are interested in Russian-Hungarian relations further deepening in all areas," Putin said, adding that this primarily concerned the development of trade and economic relations between the countries.
