MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 23rd January, 2019) The Athletics Integrity Unit, an independent body managing threats to the sport, is expected to receive samples from the Moscow laboratory from the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) not earlier than in two or three months, the press service of the International Association of Athletics Federations told Sputnik Wednesday.
"It is important to clarify the process in order to have a better understanding of the timeline. The Athletics Integrity Unit first need to get the samples from WADA and this it will happen only when WADA review them and identify which data involve athletes from our sport," the press service said.
"The WADA release says it will be two to three months before it will be ready to give any information to the international federations. When the AIU will receive the data, would need to review and analyse them to find out if there are further individual cases involving athletes from our sport," the association added.
