Iranian Authorities Detain 22 Suspects In Ahvaz Terrorist Attack - Ministry

The Iranian authorities have detained 22 individuals suspected of involvement in the recent terrorist attack in southern Iran that killed at least 25 people and wounded 60 others, the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence said Monday.
MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 25th September, 2018) The Iranian authorities have detained 22 individuals suspected of involvement in the recent terrorist attack in southern Iran that killed at least 25 people and wounded 60 others, the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence said Monday.
The attack took place on September 22 during a military parade in the city of Ahvaz, dedicated to the start of Iran's 1980-88 war with Iraq. Saudi-backed Ahwazieh secessionist movement has reportedly claimed responsibility for the attack.
According to a statement by the Intelligence Ministry, some 22 people involved in the attack in Ahvaz have been identified and arrested, while weapons, explosives and communications equipment have been seized during a raid on a building that housed a five-member terrorist group that perpetrated the attack.
