Irregularities At Moldovan Elections Did Not Affect Vote Outcome - CIS Observers

A monitoring group of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States (IPA CIS) registered a number of irregularities at the Moldovan parliamentary elections, which, however, did not have a significant impact on the vote outcome, the press service for the mission said
CHISINAU (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 25th February, 2019) A monitoring group of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States (IPA CIS) registered a number of irregularities at the Moldovan parliamentary elections, which, however, did not have a significant impact on the vote outcome, the press service for the mission said.
"Across the most of the polling stations where the monitoring was conducted the voting was organized at quite a high level and in accordance with the requirements of the Electoral Code of the Republic of Moldova. At the same time, the members of the IPA CIS monitoring group identified and registered a number of irregularities and technical shortcomings of the voting process, which, however, did not have a significant impact on the election results," the press service's head, Maria Dolgaya, said.
