IS Key Commander Arrested In Northern Afghanistan

An eminent commander of the hardliner Islamic State (IS) was arrested in Maimana, the capital city of Afghanistan's northern Faryab province on Friday, an army spokesman in the northern region Abdul Hadi Jamal said Saturday
MAIMANA,Afghanistan, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jan, 2019 ) :An eminent commander of the hardliner Islamic State (IS) was arrested in Maimana, the capital city of Afghanistan's northern Faryab province on Friday, an army spokesman in the northern region Abdul Hadi Jamal said Saturday.
"An IS notorious commander who disguised himself as ordinary man and was planning to move to some unknown place was identified by law enforcing agencies in Maimana city on Friday afternoon andarrested," Jamal told Xinhua.
Without revealing his name and providing more details, the official said the investigation is underway.
