IS Terrorists Boost Positions In Libya, Strengthen Ties With Al-Qaeda - Russia's Bogdanov

Terrorists from the Islamic State terror group are fostering their stronghold in Libya and strengthening positions with al-Qaeda fighters (both terror organizations banned in Russia), Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov said Tuesday
MOSCOW (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 19th February, 2019) Terrorists from the Islamic State terror group are fostering their stronghold in Libya and strengthening positions with al-Qaeda fighters (both terror organizations banned in Russia), Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov said Tuesday.
"In Libya, including Tripoli, the IS is boosting its activities benefiting from the collapse of government institutions and territorial divisions. The terrorist group is boosting ties with al-Qaeda which is raising its head near the Oil Crescent," Bogdanov said at the panel session of the Valdai discussion club's middle East conference.
