The cabinet has discussed that the recent tensions in relations with Russia, which followed the crash of Russian Il-20 military aircraft in Syria last week.

"The cabinet has instructed the Israel Defense Forces to continue operations against Iran's military presence in Syria while maintaining coordination with Russia in the area of security," the statement read.
