Italy: Earthquake Destroyed Several Buildings, Killing 14 People

Rome, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 24th August, 2016) : In the central regions of Italy several building turned into a pile of rubble due to earthquake of 6.2 magnitude. 5.5 magnitude aftershocks also shook the earth after one hour.
14 persons are reported dead in the earthquake.
Accumoli, Amatrice, and Pistoia areas in Italy were seriously affected by earthquake. Accumoli Mayor said that a family of four were also trapped under the rubble and showing no signs of life. Police have confirmed the deaths of 2 people in another area. It is being feared of landslides with buildings and bridges collapsed.
