ST. PETERSBURG (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 10th June, 2019) Kenyan Industry and Trade Minister Peter Munya confirmed in comments to Sputnik that the country's president, Uhuru Kenyatta, would attend the first Russia-Africa summit, to be held in the Russian Black Sea resort of Sochi in October.
"It's confirmed that our president will be attending the summit," Munya said.
The summit will take place on October 24 at the initiative of Russian President Vladimir Putin and will aim at boosting cooperation between Russia and African nations. The majority of African leaders are expected to partake in the event.
