A man wielding a knife attacked and wounded a police officer in front of the main police station in Brussels, Belgian Interior Minister Jan Jambon said Tuesday.

BRUSSELS (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 20th November, 2018) A man wielding a knife attacked and wounded a police officer in front of the main police station in Brussels, Belgian Interior Minister Jan Jambon said Tuesday.
"Another cowardly act against our police. A policeman was wounded in an attack near the commissariat.
The employee is in the hospital, but his life is not in danger. All our support for the Brussels police," Jambon wrote on Twitter.
Another police officer used his weapon against the attacker, wounding him in the chest. The assailant was hospitalized.
The prosecutor's office has launched an investigation into the case.
